Harry Kane responds to Jude Bellingham penalty incident with telling answer

Harry Kane responds to Jude Bellingham penalty incident with telling answer

Kane has had his say.

Harry Kane has responded to Jude Bellingham's 'trash talking' before he scored a penalty for Bayern Munich in their 2-2 draw against Real Madrid.

Kane gave Bayern a second half advantage from the spot after Jamal Musiala had been fouled by Federico Valverde.

The England captain typically showed few nerves as he coolly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner, with Real goalkeeper Andriy Lunin diving in the opposite direction.

There was a moment before the penalty, though, with Real midfielder Bellingham walking up to Kane before attempting to put him off.

Journalist Julien Laurens described the incident as a spot of 'trash talking', but it didn't put Kane off as he stepped up and scored.

Speaking to TNT Sports' Jules Breach after the game, Kane was asked for his thoughts on the moment in question.

He replied: "I don't know what he was saying, I saw him in my ear mumbling something. I'd have to ask him what he actually said!

"In that moment, I'm just in my zone, I'm just trying to block everything out.

"I'm sure he was trying to say something to put me off, but thankfully it was okay for me."

Both sides will go into the second leg at the Bernabeu all square after a pulsating tie in Munich.

Vinicius Junior gave Real a half-time lead by firing past Manuel Neuer, in what was Los Blancos' only shot on goal in the first half.

But it was Bayern who sprung out of the traps in the second half, with Leroy Sane scoring his first goal in any competition since October to level the scores.

Then it was Kane's turn to give Bayern the advantage from the spot.

It wouldn't last, however, with Vinicius scoring a penalty kick of his own at the other end on 83 minutes to bring to an end another Champions League clash to remember.
