Thomas Tuchel has made his feelings clear on Jadon Sancho ahead of potential Man Utd move

Thomas Tuchel has made his feelings clear on Jadon Sancho ahead of potential Man Utd move

Jadon Sancho was loaned to Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window.

Thomas Tuchel has already made his feelings clear on Jadon Sancho amid reports linking the German with a move to Manchester United.

After a disappointing season both domestically and continentally, Erik ten Hag is under increasing pressure with new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe reportedly looking to make changes in the summer.

Over the last few months, the likes of Gareth Southgate, Graham Potter and Zinedine Zidane have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Last week, it was reported by German news outlet Kicker that United have made contact with Tuchel over the possibility of taking over from Ten Hag.

Tuchel is set to leave Bayern Munich when the 23/24 season draws to a close and a return to the Premier League could be an option.

If Tuchel is to join United, it could be good news for Sancho, who is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund after a public spat with Ten Hag earlier in the season.

When he was manager of Chelsea, it was widely reported that Tuchel wanted to sign Sancho.

Previously reported by Sport1, via One Football, Tuchel wanted to tempt the winger to Stamford Bridge instead of Old Trafford, with Dortmund lowering their asking price at the time.

Tuchel’s past interest in Sancho could mean that the 24-year-old’s United career could be reignited if the German does take over from Ten Hag.

Sancho has performed to a decent level after returning to Dortmund.

Over the weekend, after scoring against RB Leipzig, he became the record English goalscorer in the Bundesliga.

After the match, the 24-year-old wrote on social media: “A result to reflect on… thank you for the travelling fans who came to support us today!

“A bittersweet moment also for breaking the English record goal scorer in the Bundesliga surpassing the legend Tony Woodcock!”

Dortmund are in Champions League semi-final action against French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday night.
